Experience
Philip McEntee is a boots-on-the-ground surveying manager with extensive experience with public sector and private sector clients. His project experience includes surveying a multitude of properties ranging from large tracts encompassing over 1000 acres to the smallest contested-title wedge, and the full range of surveying projects: transfer of title, topographic base mapping, minor and major subdivisions, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built mapping.

Phil says: “What the customer sees is our time on site.  What they get is our time before, during and after:  Training, research, equipment maintenance, project planning, and coordination with other contractors.”

Working for the public sector, Phil has provided boundary surveys for purchases under the NJ Department of Environmental Protection’s Green Acres Program, and right of way surveys when municipal roads are redesigned or resurfaced.

Phil’s experience in the private sector includes large ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys for transfer of title, and boundary and topographic surveying of retail commercial and business campuses, and campuses of colleges and universities. He has worked on topographic surveys of the United Nations facility in Manhattan, and boundary surveys for sporting facilities such as the Metrostars Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, and the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Phil has managed the stakeout services on large construction projects including roads and associated infrastructure for new subdivisions, multi-family housing projects and mall projects for large retailers.  Mr. McEntee has experience staking structural steel and monitoring retaining walls, and with providing as-built surveys of anchor bolts for use in the design of structural steel.

Phil provided boundary and topographic surveys for companies operating at Port Newark when the security gates were installed to scan containers coming into the port.  He also worked on Port Authority projects at their sites including Teterboro Airport, the Lincoln Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge. When subsurface structural elements of a Columbia University dormitory building were in design, Phil and his team provided the subway tunnel surveys.

Phil is experienced with state of the art GPS and Laser Scanning equipment and the associated software, and is an expert using the traditional total station and data collection equipment associated with ground surveying. To coordinate with customer requirements, he has used several computer-aided drafting (CAD) software packages and is familiar with the industry standards and with format conversions between them.

Phil has served on the Program Advisory Board for the CAD / Drafting Technology Program at Anthem Institute in Parsippany, New Jersey, and as a guest lecturer on Land Surveying.
